We had a very short travel day, 85 miles to our first stop in California. This will begin a stint of private rv parks in the State as Californian State Parks do not have big campsites. The drive was similar to our last travel day with us once again hugging the coastline but this time the road was called the 101 and the Redwood Highway.

The rv park was tiny and should not have accepted our booking. While the site was long enough for Yem to fit the access road into and around the park was awful and maneuvering a 40 foot rv onto the site took all of John's mad skills.
Across the road from the rv park was Sue Meg State Park where I had planed on doing some hikes but I had not realized California does not let dogs on trails in State parks so we were restricted to walking on the park roads with no way to access the beaches or views.

Roads are boring, can we go on the trails? |
