We arrived at Belfair State Park which was a smaller park set on the side of Hood Canal. UK readers do not visualize an English canal this to me was the end of a sea estuary with tidal waters. The drive to the town of Belfair was an easy three mile.

There were sites right on the edge of the water but these were only 30amp power so we were located at the back of the beach loop on a pull through site that was meant to be big enough for Yem but it was not, we had neighbors at our nose and butt which was not a great problem apart from trying to park the truck and worrying if we would have space to hook up when we came to leave. There was also a lot of tree cover and the area was very damp as it was very enclosed by bushes and trees.

Each day Hood Canal would look very different |
Twice we woke to our site flooded. No one had warned us it did and we had our Starlink broken as it was sitting in the water during the night when the flood began. We were ok for staying connected at this park as we had good ATT service and we were hoping if we dried out the Starlink it would recover. More on this later!!!!

Park hosts put cones out to warn about deep water, wish they could have given us a heads up! |
This was just an "ok" park. It was nice having a small town with two supermarkets just three miles away but for access to other areas, very limited walks, flooding and not having a view from our site it lost points.
